46 intrepid golfers embarked on 18 holes at Walton Heath, in what must have been the worst weather conditions ever experienced in late April!! We had hail, driving wind and rain, which then abated for a few holes, only to come back at us again later, even worse! Everyone was soaked and some gave up the last few holes in preference to a warm shower and the marvellous Walton Heath lunch. Everyone discussed the weather at length but vowed to return next year to what will be the 20th Bramley Golf Day.
Thanks to Valley Saab for donating prizes of mugs for the winners and Champagne for a draw which Annie and Diya from Lowers drew, along with Mrs Blake and Ex-Governor, Mr John Renshaw, who meets and greets everyone.
The girls gave a lovely speech about enjoying Bramley and spoke of the various items that have been funded by Friends of Bramley. Early arithmetic seems to show that we raised approximately £1150, so many thanks to one and all.
Next year’s event is already booked for Wednesday 27th April 2016 so keep the date free!
Thank you to all who took part. Andrew Lambert, Governor
