Friends of Bramley

Friends of Bramley (FOB) is a group of parents who carry out a variety of fundraising and social activities each year, which encourages closer communication between parents, staff and others associated with Bramley. Parents are actively encouraged to join the FOB and it’s a fantastic opportunity to become more involved in the social aspect of school life.

Over the years, Friends of Bramley has supported the girls with additional IT equipment; sports facilities and equipment plus new outdoor features such as an all season shelter in Early Years and playground games. The newly purchased Bramley marquee has proved invaluable at sports events, Open Mornings and Prize Giving.

Parents and teachers alike are asked to provide fund raising ideas and thoughts on what projects are needed to enhance the facilities offered to the girls at the school.

The Committee consists of up to 20 members and is supported by Class Co-ordinators from each year. A wide range of fundraising and social events to suit all tastes is organised. Popular annual events include the Christmas Fayre, the Bramley Ball and the Dads and Daughters Camping night. Non fundraising activities include an Easter craft party, an Easter disco & Christmas activities too.

A very big thank you goes out to all those who have helped organize the events and, of course, to all the parents, friends, families and Governors who continue to support Friends of Bramley in its quest to involve all and raise funds for much-needed projects.

Christmas Fayre 2015

Each year the Bramley Christmas Fayre starts our festive season, and what a start it was this year. Bigger, better, busier and bustling with so much festive cheer we haven’t stopped smiling since! The raffle was a major hit, with some fantastic prizes; the stalls, organised by the class reps and run by the parents, were amazing and so popular. And our visiting stalls all enjoyed their time at the Fayre and even said it’s one of the best schools Fayres they have ever seen!   So thank you to all our amazing parents, for your generous donations and giving up your time to make the day so special and for your big smiles when opening the lovely present bought from Secret Santa! Is really is the girls’ favourite event of the year, so thank you for making is so memorable once again.

Bramley Golf Day 2016

On a gloriously sunny but cold day in April, the Bramley Golf Day was enjoyed by 43 golfers, including for the first time a current Bramley girl, Mili Greener. Mili, who played with last year’s Walton Heath Lady Captain performed exceptionally well. A true pro in the making!

The course was in super condition ahead of the USA PGA qualifier to be held soon and all of the staff at Walton Heath were present for the presentation and speeches by this year’s Head Girl, Cerys Denny and Deputy Head Girl, Jemima Hain.

Our thanks to Walton Heath and all of the current and past Governors, Parents and others that have continued to support this day for the past 20 years!!
