Special Needs

Girls with special educational needs are identified early in their academic career.  Intervention programmes are provided to support girls in the areas that they need.  Girls are also supported by a Special Needs Teacher (SENCO) and Teaching Assistants. Individual Action Plans are drawn up for pupils to work towards targets which are supported in school by staff and at home by parents.

Our most able and talented girls are extended through bespoke lessons in, for example, English, Maths and Science.  Girls are also extended through a wide programme of extra-curricular activites and by extension work provided within the classroom.
