Friends of Bramley

Friends of Bramley (FOB) is a group of parents who carry out a variety of fundraising and social activities each year, which encourages closer communication between parents, staff and others associated with Bramley.  Parents are actively encouraged to join the FOB and it's a fantastic opportunity to become more involved in the social aspect of school life. Here are our forthcoming events:

Nearly New Uniform Sale
Friday 16th March 2012
3pm - 4:30pm
A good selection of summer and winter uniform available!

Summer Ball
Saturday 12th May 2012

We raised just over £500 at the Curry & Quiz Night so well done everyone!

The Committee consists of up to 20 members and is supported by Class Co-ordinators from each year, who encourage parents to attend events, to make donations including raffle prizes and to help at functions.

A wide range of fundraising and social events to suit all tastes is organised. Popular annual events include the Christmas Fair, the Bramley Ball and end-of-year Barbecue and Barn Dance (which girls from Lowers and above can attend). There have also been ladies' lunches, quiz nights, race nights and fashion shows. (The Mums' Day Out coach trip to Harrods for Christmas shopping, or just lunch, is always very well received!)

Non fundraising activities include new mothers' coffee mornings and mulled wine and mince pies after the Christmas plays. Friends of Bramley also organise the children's Christmas parties, complete with Father Christmas and his sack, which are very popular with the girls.

The money raised is used to assist the School and to benefit all the girls in a variety of ways. Funds raised have helped to purchase numerous pieces of equipment including many computers, musical instruments, televisions and video recorders.  Recent large projects have given the school a new library, outdoor climbing frames, outdoor classroom for the nursery, play equipment, staging and a sound system for the hall, and an interactive whiteboard for the ICT department.

As with any voluntary organisation new 'Friends' are welcomed with open arms! Please contact the School Office if you'd like to join us.
