Extra-curricular Activities |

Extra-curricular activities provide a wonderful opportunity for girls to broaden their horizons and explore their individual interests and talents. They are crucial in developing each girl’s confidence and self-esteem and help promote a varied and all-round education. To download a full list of this terms activities please click here.
Ballet
This is taught by the Karen Robinson School of Dancing and is available to girls from Little Bramley upwards. Lessons are currently held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with the latest ones finishing at 4:20pm. Girls have the opportunity to take ballet examinations and all participate in regular shows.
Choir
There are two choirs - Junior Choir is for Years 1 and 2 and Senior Choir is for Lowers to Tops (9-11 year olds). Children perform on many occasions, both in school and at festivals.
Computer Club
This is currently held during the lunch break and is available for girls in the upper part of the School.
Gymnastics
Gymnastics coaching takes place on Tuesday evening. Qualified gymnastics coaches from DK Gymnastics teach the girls. Please ask the School Office for further details.
Kuk Sool Won
Kuk Sool Won is a Korean Martial Arts system that teaches the skills of self-defence, respect and discipline. It is taught by Kuk Sool Won World Champion, Miss Gasston, who has also taught PE at Bramley.
Maths Club
Maths Club is a lunchtime activity for the older Prep girls. It
provides the opportunity for girls to explore mathematical puzzles,
develop investigative techniques and to have fun with shapes, space and
numbers. This club is an excellent way to extend mathematical skills
required for scholarship candidates.
Netball, Rounders, Athletics Matches & Coaching
These take place after school at appriopriate times and girls may be
selected to represent the School in home or away matches. A few
Saturday morning matches are played. Parents receive notification of
matches a week in advance, once the teams have been chosen.
PlayBall
These are physical education and skills lessons for the Little
Bramley, Reception and Year 1 girls led by a qualified instructor.

Science Club
This is currently held on a Thursday during the lunch break
and is for Lowers and Middles. Girls work towards the Crest
Investigators' Award Scheme run by the British Association for the
Advancement of Science.
Spanish Club
Spanish Club is held for all girls from Year 1 to Tops who may
choose to attend. The classes are at different times of the day and
details can be obtained from the School Office.
Speech & Drama
Classes are available from Year 1 upwards and are taught by Mrs
Wendy Phillips. Lessons are held in small groups to inspire confidence
and communication skills through a variety of performance-based
activities. There is an opportunity to take yearly examinations with
LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts).
Tap Dancing
This is also taught by the Karen Robinson School of Dancing. Girls
from Year 2 upwards may join these classes, which are held during break
times or after school hours. Tap dancing is included in the dance shows.
Tennis
Tennis coaching takes place on a Thursday evening during the Summer
Term and up to the October Half Term. Katie Young, a qualified tennis
coach, teaches the girls. Please ask for details at the School Office.
Yoga Bugs
Yoga Bugs is for Little Bramley to Tops and is led by an experienced instructor.
