The Governing Board meets at least once a term and the sub-committees (Finance and General Purpose, Marketing and Health & Safety) convene more frequently. The Board’s role is to monitor the financial and educational wellbeing of the school and to plan future developments. Anne Morrell (Chairman) trained as a teacher at Homerton College, Cambridge and has taught in both the maintained and independent sectors of education, including a term at Bramley. She lives locally and has two grown-up sons. Anne sits on the Finance & General Purposes (F&GP) sub-committee. Judy Brown grew up in Sutton and moved back to the area a few years ago, having lived and worked in Herefordshire, London and Kent. A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Judy has a particular interest in employee relations and employment law. Roy Day lives locally. He trained in graphic design and fine art and is Managing Director of Day Consulting, which specialises in marketing communications, exhibition design and production. Roy has two daughters, both former pupils at Bramley. Roy sits on the Marketing sub-committee. Jimmy Gribben, born in Belfast, is a career banker. He recently retired from Allied Irish Banks where he was a Senior Manager heading up the Private Banking Division in Britain. Jimmy is married to Patricia and is father of three children; his two daughters are both former pupils at Bramley. Jimmy chairs the F&GP sub-committee. Ginny Howard is a Chartered Architect who has worked in private practice on a variety of building types including hotels, offices, housing and school buildings. Ginny designed the Founders’ Wing at Bramley. Ginny’s two daughters are former pupils of Bramley. Ginny sits on both the F&GP and Health & Safety sub-committees. Andrew Lambert was born in Sutton and educated at Sutton Grammar School. He now runs an Industrial Building Design and Foundation Piling Company from Ewell. Andrew is married with two daughters, both past Bramley pupils and lives in Chipstead. He sits on the F&GP sub-committee. Bud McLintock has a strong link with Bramley. Her father, Alan, was instrumental in setting up the school as an educational trust and was subsequently Chairman of Governors between 1976 and 1984. All four children, including Bud, attended the school. She is a Project Management Consultant and extensive experience in Marketing. Bud chairs the Marketing sub-committee. Andreas Pitsiaeli lives in Tadworth, having joined a local GP Practice as a partner in 1995. He was educated in Sutton and Wimbledon and trained in medicine at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in London. He has a son and a daughter, who is a former pupil of Bramley. Kelly Shead was Chair of the Friends of Bramley between 2004 and 2007. Her daughter was a pupil at Bramley and has just recently started at Reigate Grammar School. She sits on the Marketing sub-committee. Nick Willett was educated at Whitgift School in South Croydon. Nick is married, living in Kingswood with two daughters, both former Bramley pupils. Nick is Managing Director of Valley Automotive Ltd., which runs two Saab dealerships. He chairs the Health & Safety sub-committee. |
