Little Bramley Nursery

At Bramley School, we believe in building on firm foundations and our flourishing nursery department for girls aged 3 to 4 years - Little Bramley - is the ideal place to start. Little Bramley provides a happy, stimulating and safe environment, which offers every opportunity for learning through structured activities and play.

Our nursery is housed in a large purpose-built room on the ground floor and offers an attractive, well-resourced outdoor learning environment, complete with climbing frames, bike track, sand and water areas and grass and tarmac play space.

In Little Bramley, we ensure that each girl is welcomed into the class. We are proud of our low pupil-staff ratios, which allow the Qualified Nursery Teacher, Nursery Nurses and Teaching Assistants to form excellent relationships with the girls. Specialist Information Technology and Physical Education Teachers help to ensure that each Little Bramley pupil receives help, guidance and personal attention.

Sessions are flexible and range from five mornings (8.55am to 12.30pm) to five full days (8.55 am to 3 pm) or simply something in between. There are also facilities for before and after-school care.

There's no form of selective entry for Little Bramley.  Girls are accepted in order of registration and join in the term directly following their third birthday.

  • Exciting Curriculum

Little Bramley pupils follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum with its emphasis on fun, creative and stimulating activities and environment. Girls are sensitively encouraged in their development of reading, writing, mathematics, painting and drawing, music and physical and creative play. Music is integral to the curriculum and parents are invited each half-term to Little Bramley’s play or assembly performance. School visits are arranged to complement the topics of study.

  • Excellent Communication

In order to ease new parents into Bramley School, the Head of Pre-Prep and Nursery staff run parent workshops and evenings.

We're also happy to put parents of prospective pupils in touch with each other or with parents whose children already attend Bramley School to help ease the transition from home to nursery.

Little Bramley fosters a family atmosphere and this, together with an all-girl environment, helps develop confidence, self-esteem and a love of learning.
