Bramley is a leading independent day school, for girls aged three to eleven, located in the beautiful village of Walton-on-the-Hill near Tadworth in Surrey, just a few miles from Junction 8 of the M25. Our pupils come from all around – Kingswood, Chipstead, Epsom, Ashtead, Banstead, Dorking and Reigate.
Bramley is a small and caring community committed to educating each girl to the highest level. As well as concentrating on the academic achievements of the girls, we nurture and develop each girl’s special interests and strengths to give her the best possible start in life. Our curriculum is broad and modern, designed to enthuse every individual, whether their interests lie in sport, dance, art, music or technology. Bramley achieves exceptional results academically. We work very closely with parents and strongly believe that there is a ‘right’ school for each girl. Because of this, we’re able to progress girls on to the Senior Schools of their choice. Our girls often win scholarships and awards to prestigious schools such as Reigate Grammar, Woldingham and Nonsuch High, to name just a few.
Our Interim Inspection (January 2010) awarded us "Outstanding" in all aspects of Early Years Education, Pupils' Personal Development, Governance and Leadership and Managment. The report recognised that teaching was either good or outstanding; the literacy skills of the girls were excellent and that pupils progressed well throughout the School. The report also recognised that questionning techniques were excellent and helped to develop pupils' thinking and learning. It maintained that pupils' learning was comprehensively tracked, which was a mark of excellence.
We hope our website will give you a flavour of the spirit of Bramley but please do come and see us for yourself, either by arranging a visit during term time or attending one of our Open Mornings or Pop-In Mornings.
