Board Of Governors

The Governing Board meets at least once a term and various sub-committees convene more frequently. The Board’s role is to monitor the financial and educational well-being of the School and to plan and oversee school development.

Chair of Governors, Mike Webb
Mike was born in Wolverhampton and moved to Tadworth 25 years ago.  Mike is married with two children and his daughter is a former pupil of Bramley School.  Mike has worked as a Director of an international insurance company for more than 25 years.  He is also on the Board of a large legal firm and a Non-Exec Director of a medical repatriation and healthcare services company. He can be contacted as Chair of Governors, c/o Bramley School, Chequers Lane, Walton-on-the-Hill, Tadworth, Surrey, KT20 7ST.

Immediate Past Chair of Governors, Eamonn Fogarty
Eamonn grew up in Tipperary, where he gained an honours degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick before moving to London in the late 1980s. After a number of senior Technical and Management roles in London and Surrey, Eamonn founded a Cheam-based IT company in 1997. Eamonn has two daughters, both attended Bramley. Eamonn sits on the Finance Committee.

Deputy Chair, Lucy Caldecott
Lucy gained a degree in Modern Languages at Aston University and a Masters degree in Human Resource Management. Having worked in London and Paris she was a Learning and Development Manager in London before setting up her own Training Consultancy business. She is married with a daughter at Bramley and is on the Friends of Bramley committee. Lucy advises on Personnel and Recruitment matters and has responsibility for EYFS.

Peter Brooks
Pete has been the Headmaster of Kingswood House School in Epsom for 15 years. He is also an ISI School Inspector. Pete has a grown up family and is an avid rugby fan.

Jimmy Gribben
Jimmy, born in Belfast and now retired, following a career with Allied Irish Banks, heading up the Private Banking Division in Britain. Jimmy is married to Patricia and father to three children; his two daughters are former Bramley pupils. Jimmy is the Chair of Finance Governor.

Wendy Harrison
Throughout her career Wendy has worked in PR, starting in a small West End PR agency and progressing rapidly to build a portfolio of clients as an Account Director. Wendy established her own company,  Harrison Sadler Limited – now known as HSL – in January 1987, now a well-respected marketing communications business, specialising in the financial services, motoring and travel sectors.  As a governor Wendy welcomes the opportunity to apply her business and marketing skills to something completely different from her day job and to play a part in helping Bramley capitalise on its successes to date.

Ginny Howard
Ginny is a Chartered Architect who has worked in private practice on a variety of building types including hotels, offices, housing and school buildings. Ginny designed the Founders’ Wing at Bramley. Ginny’s two daughters are former Bramley pupils. Ginny sits on the Health and Safety Committee.

Kelly Shead
Kelly was Chair for the Friends of Bramley Parent/Teacher Association between 2004 and 2007. Her daughter was a Bramley pupil and has now progressed to senior school. Kelly sits on the Marketing Committee and has responsibilities for Curriculum and SENCO.

Sally Witts
Now Bursar at Kingswood House School in Epsom Sally began her career as a Nurse at the Middlesex Hospital in London and went on to specialize in Cardiology at the Brompton.  Sally then trained to gain secretarial qualifications and become PA to the Finance Director of Boosey and Hawkes.  Whilst raising a family (two boys) Sally ran her own business in fashion before returning to work as School Secretary and Head’s PA at KHS.
