About the School

Welcome to Bramley School and Nursery

Bramley is a leading independent day school, for girls rising three to eleven years of age, located in the beautiful village of Walton-on-the-Hill near Tadworth in Surrey.

Bramley’s strength is in its small and dynamic community in which girls achieve their full potential in all areas of the curriculum and in line with the school’s aims.

Bramley is fortunate to be supported by enthusiastic and active governors and parents who readily offer their skills and talents to the benefit of the girls.

As well as concentrating on the academic achievements of the girls, we nurture and develop each girl’s special interests and strengths to give her the best possible start in life.

Bramley achieves exceptional results academically.

Our curriculum is broad and modern, designed to enthuse every individual, whether their interests lie in sport, dance, art, music or technology.

Teachers and parents work in partnership and it is this link which allows us to nurture and educate the girls to the highest possible standard.

We strongly believe that there is a ‘right’ school for each girl. Because of this, we’re able to progress girls on to the Senior Schools of their choice. Our girls often win scholarships and awards to prestigious schools such as Reigate Grammar, Caterham, Epsom College, St John’s, Woldingham and Nonsuch High, to name just a few.

We have recently been inspected by the ISI, February 2016, and could not be more pleased with the results. Bramley School was awarded Excellent in all eight inspection areas.

It was hugely satisfying to know that the hard work of the teachers, staff, governors and parents involved in the school had been so well recognised by our ISI inspection. We believe the report – which ranks every aspect of the school as ‘excellent’ – will give both current and prospective parents the confidence that their daughter will achieve an education that is second to none.  Indeed, in the verbal feedback immediately before formal feedback to governors, the Inspector used that very phrase when talking about the school.  We place equal importance on the academic, social, cultural and moral strengths of each girl in the school and this was recognised by the ISI inspectors.

Pupils come from all around – Kingswood, Chipstead, Epsom, Ewell, Ashtead, Banstead, Dorking, Box Hill and Reigate.

We hope our website will give you the spirit of Bramley School, do come and see us for yourself, either by arranging a visit during term time or attending one of our Open Mornings.
